R.I. Gen. Laws § 44-5-49 — Municipal revaluation — Rules and regulations — Investigation

The director of the department of revenue is authorized and empowered to promulgate
rules and regulations for revaluation firms as described in § 44-5-48, and the director is authorized to investigate and inquire into the resources of
applicants including, but not limited to, contacting prior persons for whom service
was performed in order to evaluate the applicant’s ability to perform the service
of revaluation.
