R.I. Gen. Laws § 44-7-8 — Permissive excise tax collection agreement

A tax collector or a finance director of any city or town may enter into an agreement
with the administrator of the division of motor vehicles for the collection of motor
vehicle excise taxes and/or motor vehicle registration fees and/or the issuance of
motor vehicle registrations on a mutually agreed cost sharing basis.
