# (a)

Sufficient cause. To scratch a greyhound from a race, sufficient cause shall be given to satisfy the racing judges. All scratches and their cause shall be reported immediately to the racing judge.

# (b)

Penalties. Any scratches that occur as a result of a violation of section 12-574-F21 to 12-574-F49, inclusive, of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies shall result in a fine or suspension of said greyhound for a period of six (6) racing days. Scratches for other causes shall be reviewed by the racing judges who may decide to take further disciplinary action. If any owner or trainer fails to have a greyhound programmed to start appear at the track at the appointed time for weighingin, and as a result said greyhound is scratched, the racing judges shall impose a fine, license suspension or both.

# (c)

Cancellation. If three or more greyhounds are withdrawn or scratched from any one race, the racing judges may cancel said race.

# (d)

Discretion of racing judges. The racing judges may scratch a greyhound from a race for any sufficient cause.

# (e)

Withdrawals. Any withdrawals or scratches shall be made with the racing secretary before noon on the day before the races for matinee programs, and before 6:00 p.m. the day before the races for evening programs.
