32 V.S.A. § 1266 — Clerical assistance

Each department, board, or commission, unless otherwise specifically provided, is
empowered to employ assistance, clerical or otherwise, as the Governor deems necessary
and, subject to the Governor’s approval, to fix the compensation to be paid for the
