SDCL § 10-47B-80

Filing security concurrently with license application

Concurrently with the filing of an application for a license under this chapter, the department may require the applicant to file with the secretary a surety bond, cash deposit, or other security approved by the secretary:

# (1)

In an amount determined by the secretary of not less than one thousand dollars or not more than a two - month tax liability for the applicant as estimated by the secretary;

# (2)

If an applicant has purchased or succeeded to a business of a person previously licensed under this chapter, the amount of security the applicant shall furnish shall be the same as would have been required of the applicant's assignor, transferor, or antecedent license of the business; and

# (3)

Conditioned upon the keeping of records and the making of full and complete reports and payments as required by this chapter.
